Patches
Patches came from the Humane Society of Charlotte. She was 15 years old when we adopted her. Though she
was tiny in size, she was very big in heart. She never met a lap she didn't like! She was only with us 8 months
before succombing to kidney failure, but she was as cherished as those we've had for many, many years and will
be missed always.

Donnie
Donnie came to us from the Humane Society of Charlotte. He had been waiting a whole year for someone to adopt him.
Everyone seemed to think he was too old. Their loss was our gain. He was a very polite cat that got along well
with both people and cats. He passed away after becoming severely anemic. His sweetness will always be remembered.

Belle
We fostered Belle and her kittens for the Humane Society of Charlotte. She was found as a stray. Nothing
was known about her except that she was pregnant. As her foster family, we got to name her. She was so beautiful
that no other name but Belle would have suited her. We kept the kittens (Amber, Bandit, Domino & Scout) until
they were old enough to be adopted out to good homes. Belle then went to live with my nephew and his family. Unfortunately
she passed away suddenly from a possible stroke.

Scout

Scout had been with us the longest, 19 years. We got him from a fellow Boy Scout leader in 1985. Hence, the
name Scout. He remained on guard always for an empty lap and never missed an opportunity to be petted.
