Cat Nap Inn
established in 1984

Angel moved into our house in 2002. She was originally my son's cat...but you know how that goes. She looks very much like Garth's twin. Both are gray and white tabbies. They can usually be found together...chasing each other, wrestling, or fighting. She's a very sweet cat and loves to be cuddled.

Beau

Beau joined our household in 2000. He was found by a vet technician who works at the Fullwood Animal Hospital. He was very tiny and very hungry when she found him. Beau has grown into quite a handsome cat with a great personality and the longest tail ever imaginable.

His birthday is April 6, 2000

Boober

Boober moved into our house along with my son, his wife, and their rat Jackson in 2005. A rat in a cat house...I anticipated great problems. The problem turned out not to be the rat...but the CAT! Boober constantly steals things...wash cloths, straws, and pretty much anything she can find lying around. But it's hard to stay mad at her because while you are scolding her, she raises up and gives you a slobbery kiss on the nose. And of course, her thievery does keep the house tidy.

Her birthday is September 11, 2004

Garth

Garth was found at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Shelter in 2002. They said he came in as a feral kitten, spitting and biting everyone who got near him. He tamed down quite a bit over the weeks that he was there. But his number was about up for finding a home. As we peered into his cage, he seemed to say, "Hi, my name is Garth. Please take me home. I promise I'll be good." Since he had a great personality and we had plenty of time to work on his social skills...home he came with us.

His birthday is April 15, 2002.

Jasmine

We fostered Jasmine for the Humane Society of Charlotte in 2001. She was nine years old, had food allergies and psychogenic alopecia. Needless to say, there was not a long line waiting to adopt an elderly cat with hair loss that threw up after every meal. We gave her a safe place of her own in the house along with special food to deal with her allergies and she is doing well now.

Her birthday is August 6, 1992

Mangorita

After searching for a year for an orange female cat, I saw Mangorita (aka Mango) previewed on the noon news by the Humane Society of Charlotte in 1999. She had been brought to the shelter after being a little too much kitten for her owners to handle. She continues to have a slight attitude, but if you don't pet her in the wrong place or say no to her, she's quite sweet.

Her birthday is July 31, 1999

Sophie

My son brought Sophie home one night in 1998 at 11pm accompanied by the usual..."Can we keep her?" And she's still here. She's a long haired brown and black sweetheart with the softest hair imaginable. It's a real chore to keep her weight down...but then who doesn't have that problem.

Her birthday is May 7, 1998

Zoe

Zoe came to us from the Humane Society of Charlotte in 2001. She is very much like a small Maine Coon. She has long brown and black hair, is very vocal and loves to dunk her food in the water bowl.

Her birthday is February 14, 2000

Our re-homed friends

“I wish you wouldn’t keep appearing and vanishing so suddenly; you make one quite giddy!" said Alice.

“All right,” said the Cat; and this time it vanished quite slowly, beginning with the end of the tail, and ending with the grin, which remained some time after the rest of it had gone.
