-Busy highways and roads
-Getting lost
-Plants harmful to cats if ingested
-Spoiled food in garbage cans
-Toxic chemicals, i.e. paint, weed killer, fertilizer, rodenticides
-Antifreeze spills on a driveway, leaking from an engine or stored improperly
-Stings from insects, spiders or snakes
-Exposure to disease carried by other infected animals
-Injury from fighting with other animals
-Fleas and ticks
-Heartworms
-Entrapment while exploring cellars, sheds and garages
-In cold weather - frostbite and injuries after seeking warmth in car engines
-In warm weather - sunburn and heatstroke
-Dehydration
-Careless hunters
-Thoughtless strangers
-Angry neighbors
